Kinesthesia Safety Policy
At Kinesthesia, we are deeply committed to providing a safe, supportive, and transformative environment for all our participants. Our workshops, retreats, and programs combine mindful practices with psychedelic cannabis breathwork to promote personal growth, creativity, and leadership development. To ensure the safety and well-being of everyone involved, we have established the following safety guidelines:
1. Participant Responsibility and Consent
- Voluntary Participation: Participation in cannabis-assisted breathwork is entirely voluntary. Participants are not required to use cannabis during any session, and alternatives will be provided for those who choose not to partake.
- Informed Consent: All participants must provide informed consent before engaging in any of our programs. This includes understanding the risks associated with psychedelic experiences and agreeing to the terms of participation. Participants must be at least 21 years old.
- Medical Disclosure: Participants are required to disclose any medical conditions, medications, or psychological issues that may affect their ability to participate safely. This includes any history of mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, or psychosis.
- Pre-Session Screening: A pre-session questionnaire may be required to assess the suitability of the program for each participant’s needs and health status.
2. Cannabis Use Guidelines
- Legal Compliance: Participants are responsible for procuring their own cannabis products. All cannabis used must comply with California state law, which regulates its production, distribution, and consumption.
- Dose Control: We provide guidance on responsible cannabis use during sessions. However, it is the participant’s responsibility to manage their own dosage. Our facilitators will assist with recommendations, but participants should follow their personal comfort levels and tolerances.
- Non-Compulsory Use: Cannabis use is optional, and participants can choose to abstain from it. Our programs are designed to benefit participants regardless of their choice to use cannabis.
3. Facilitator Oversight and Support
- Trained Facilitators: All sessions are guided by trained facilitators experienced in both breathwork and psychedelic integration. They are responsible for ensuring that participants feel supported and safe throughout the process.
- Sitter Availability: A sitter will be present during all cannabis-assisted sessions to ensure participants are attended to if needed, providing an additional layer of support and safety.
- Emergency Protocols: In case of an adverse reaction or emergency, facilitators are trained to handle situations with calmness and professionalism. Emergency medical services will be contacted if necessary.
4. Psychological Safety
- Mindfulness and Grounding Techniques: Participants will be guided through mindfulness and grounding techniques throughout the sessions to ensure that they stay connected to the present moment and manage any challenging emotions or experiences.
- Integration Support: Post-session integration support will be provided to help participants process and apply the insights gained during the sessions into their everyday lives.
- Safe Environment: We strive to create a nurturing, non-judgmental space where participants can feel comfortable exploring their consciousness. We encourage open communication and will respect each participant’s personal boundaries and emotional process.
5. Health and Wellness Guidelines
- Physical Health: Participants are encouraged to check with their healthcare provider before attending any of our programs if they have any pre-existing medical conditions or concerns. This includes cardiovascular conditions, respiratory issues, or neurological disorders.
- Mental Health: Those with a history of severe mental health conditions such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or psychosis are advised to consult with a medical professional before attending any sessions involving cannabis or psychedelic substances.
- Hydration and Nutrition: Participants are encouraged to stay hydrated and eat nourishing meals before and after sessions. Adequate nutrition and hydration are important to support a positive experience.
6. Confidentiality and Privacy
- Respectful Space: All participants are expected to respect the privacy and confidentiality of others in the group. Personal stories and experiences shared during sessions are confidential and should not be discussed outside the group unless explicitly agreed upon.
- Data Protection: Any personal information collected will be stored securely and only used for the purpose of enhancing participant safety and program effectiveness.
7. Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Cancellation: If you are unable to attend a scheduled session, please notify us as soon as possible. Cancellations within 96 hours of the event may incur a cancellation fee, depending on the circumstances.
- Refunds: Refunds will be issued in accordance with our program’s terms and conditions. In cases of medical emergencies or valid reasons for non-participation, refunds will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
This safety policy reflects our commitment to the well-being of all participants while maintaining an environment conducive to deep personal exploration. If you have any questions about this policy or specific program details, please feel free to reach out to our team.
